Frequently asked
The questions we hear most. If yours isn't here, just email us.
What is Puppii, exactly?
Puppii is an AI-powered dog parenting app. It does three things: scans anything in your dog's world (food, plants, your dog's body, suspicious-looking poop) and tells you if it's safe; chats like a knowledgeable friend who actually remembers your dog's breed, age, and quirks; and teaches you through a library of research-backed articles on training, health, behavior, and nutrition.
It's built on a knowledge base of 80+ breed health profiles, 90 food safety entries, and protocols from CPDT-KA-certified trainers and veterinary behaviorists.
Will Puppii replace my vet?
No, and it's not designed to. Puppii will never diagnose a condition or prescribe medication. When a question is medical, Puppii's job is to help you understand what you're seeing, give you context for the conversation with your vet, and tell you when something needs urgent attention. Your vet stays the decision-maker for anything serious.
Think of Puppii as the friend who's done a lot of reading and helps you decide whether to call the vet or just keep an eye on it.
How accurate is the AI?
Puppii is built on GPT-4o with a custom knowledge layer of 750+ structured data points across food safety, breed health, training protocols, and emergency procedures. Every response runs through 20 non-negotiable safety rails (never diagnose, never prescribe, always defer to vet for medical, etc.).
That said, AI makes mistakes. If something Puppii tells you doesn't match your vet's advice, trust your vet. And email us — we want to know.
Is my dog's data private?
Your dog's data is yours. We don't sell it, we don't train AI models on it, and we don't share it with advertisers. We do share it with a small set of service providers we need to operate the app (OpenAI for chat, Supabase for storage, Apple for sign-in) and that's it.
The full breakdown is on our privacy page.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions. Find Puppii and tap Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
If you cancel during the 3-day free trial, you won't be charged. Apple handles all of this — we never see your card details.
How do I delete my account?
Open Puppii, go to the Profile tab, tap Settings, then Delete Account. This removes your account, your dog's profile, conversation history, photos, and saved tips from our active systems within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days.
If the in-app option isn't working for any reason, email aaron@getpartyanimal.com and we'll handle it manually.
Multi-dog support? Family sharing?
Coming. V1 supports one dog per account because we wanted to get the AI personalization right before adding complexity. Multi-dog support and shared family access (so partners, dog walkers, and pet sitters can all access the dog's profile) are both in the V1.1 plans.
If you're a multi-dog household and want to be first to try this, email us so we can ping you when it ships.
Something is broken in the app
Sorry about that. Email us with these three things and we'll get on it:
- What you were trying to do
- What happened instead
- Your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About)
A screenshot or short screen recording is gold. Send to aaron@getpartyanimal.com.
I have a feature idea
Send it. Seriously. The roadmap is shaped by what dog parents actually ask for. The Scan feature, the Personality DNA quiz, and the saved tips view all came directly from user emails. Pitch your idea and we'll talk.
How do I refund my subscription?
Subscription refunds are handled by Apple, not us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Puppii subscription charge, and request a refund. Apple's typically generous about this. If they decline and you think the situation warrants one, email us and we'll advocate on your behalf.
We're a tiny team that genuinely loves dogs. Email us anything.
