Privacy Policy

You're a dog parent who downloaded a dog-parent app. We collect what we need to make Puppii useful for your specific dog (their profile, your conversations, your photos if you choose to add them) and nothing else. We never sell your data. We share it only with the companies we genuinely need to operate the service (Apple, OpenAI, Supabase, Vercel, RevenueCat). You can delete your account and data any time.

Puppii ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Party Animal LLC, the company behind getpartyanimal.com. You can reach us at aaron@getpartyanimal.com any time.

Account info. When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier and (if you choose to share it) your email. We don't ask for a password because Apple handles authentication.

Dog profile. Anything you tell Puppii about your dog: name, breed, age, weight, energy level, personality traits, the parenting challenges you mention.

Conversation data. The questions you ask Puppii and the responses we generate. Plus any facts Puppii extracts from your conversations to remember about your dog (e.g., "Luna doesn't like fireworks").

Photos. If you upload photos to the photo books or scanning features, we store them associated with your dog's profile.

Walk and activity data. If you use the Walk feature, we collect duration, distance, and route data only while you're using it.

Subscription info. Whether you're on a trial, weekly, monthly, or annual plan. We don't see your card or payment details — Apple handles that.

Usage data. Crash logs, anonymous performance metrics, and app feature usage so we can fix bugs and improve the product.

We use your data to:

• Provide the Puppii service (chat, walks, photo books, scanning, Personality Snapshot)
• Personalize your AI conversations using your dog's profile and history
• Process your subscription and provide customer support
• Detect bugs, performance issues, and abuse
• Send you product updates if you've opted in (you can opt out any time)

We don't use your data to train any AI models, and we don't share it with advertisers.

We share data only with the service providers we need to operate Puppii:

• OpenAI — processes the AI conversations. Your messages and dog profile context are sent to OpenAI's API to generate responses. OpenAI's policy applies to that data.
• Supabase — stores your account, dog profile, and conversation history in an encrypted database.
• Vercel — hosts the application infrastructure.
• Apple (App Store + Sign in with Apple) — handles authentication and subscription billing.
• RevenueCat — manages subscription state and trial tracking.
• Sentry / analytics — anonymous error tracking and crash reporting.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever. We do not share your data with advertisers.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your dog profile, conversation history, and photos from our active systems within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days.

You can do all of the following from the Profile tab in the app, or by emailing us:

• Access a copy of your data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete specific facts Puppii has remembered about your dog
• Delete your entire account and all associated data
• Export your conversation history
• Opt out of product update emails

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. You can request to know what data we've collected, request deletion, and opt out of any data sale. We don't sell data, so the third right is automatic. Email aaron@getpartyanimal.com to exercise the others.

If you're in the EU or UK, you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Our legal basis for processing your data is the performance of the contract you have with us (the Puppii service). Email us to exercise these rights.

Puppii is intended for adult dog parents (18 and older). We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has used Puppii, contact us and we'll delete the data immediately.

We use industry-standard practices: data encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest, row-level security on the database (you can only access your own data), no payment data ever touches our servers, and authentication is delegated to Apple. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours private.

If we change this policy in a way that affects your rights, we'll notify you in the app and via email if you've shared one. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
